Anthology is a luxury hospitality brand centred on bespoke journeys and experiences, founded by the team who created some of Asia’s most iconic hotels: The PuXuan Hotel and Spa in Beijing, The PuLi Hotel and Spa in Shanghai, and The RuMa Hotel and Residences in Kuala Lumpur.
We have always believed that running a hotel is an artisanal craft that requires talent, training, skill, passion, dedication, commitment, the right tools and materials and an expertise that is acquired over long periods of experience. At Anthology Group, our hotels will always be run by hoteliers who have mastered the craft of luxury hospitality.
Co-Founder and former CEO of Urban Resort Concepts, Markus has accrued 30 years in luxury hospitality, with senior management positions across Europe, Asia, US, and Africa. His tenures include The Dorchester, London, The Datai, Langkawi, The Peninsula Hotels in Beijing and Chicago, and Oberoi Hotels & Resorts.
Co-Founder and former Senior Vice-President of Urban Resort Concepts, Bernd has over 20 years of unprecedented technical knowledge in luxury hospitality, with previous senior management positions at Raffles International, The Peninsula Hotels, and Oberoi Hotels & Resorts across Germany, Mauritius and Hong Kong, China.
Former Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Urban Resort Concepts, Yvonne has accrued 30 years of sales and marketing savoir-faire in luxury hospitality, with previously held positions at Mandarin Oriental, Hyatt, Hilton International, and Marriott International in Greater China.
Former opening Director of Human Resources of The PuXuan Hotel and Spa, Mandy was instrumental in the development of people strategies, leadership programme, organisational and cultural change management as well as pre-opening talent search. A seasoned hospitality professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry, she previously held senior management positions with Wanda Hotels & Resorts and The St Regis Beijing.
Calvin draws on his extensive business development and project management experience spanning over 15 years, including more than a decade with award-winning design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates where he was responsible for the company’s commercial performance and operational efforts, and led the business development team to achieve exceptional results, while establishing strong, collaborative relationships with clients and associates.
