1.1 When you fill in forms on our website, make reservations, stay at our property, request information about goods and services, opt in for marketing information, create online accounts or communicate with us by email, phone or social media, we may collect and process from you the following types of Personal Data:
a. Your personal information including but not limited to name, gender, age, photo, personal identification number or passport details. Personal information may also include Sensitive Personal Information (defined in section 2.5).
b. Your contact information including but not limited to postal address, social media account, email address and telephone number.
c. Financial information including but not limited to credit card details, method of payment, bank information and transaction history.
d. Your business information including company name, business title, and associated contact information.
e. Travel details including personal information of your travel companions, flight information, travel itinerary, passport and visa data and travel preferences.
f. Your interest and preferences to ensure we cater to your personal requirements including special requests, consumption habits, skincare and wellness concerns, dietary preferences and health condition.
g. Social media details including account information, profile pictures or posts.
h. Technical information including but not limited to information collected from the devices you use while interacting with us (including unique identifiers, hardware models, operating systems and versions, as well as other information such as mobile network information and location when using mobile devices).
1.2 Your Personal Data is required for the use of our services and these may be collected in a number of ways, including when you provide such data to us. This includes:
a. When you provide your personal information while on our premises, website or social media accounts.
b. When you make an enquiry or booking by email, phone or our website.
c. When you provide us with your information to receive news updates from us.
d. When you enter one of our competitions or sign up for promotional offers.
e. When you provide your comments, feedback or communicate with us, including surveys, guest feedback or comment cards, as well as on third-party websites and social media.
f. When you sign up for our membership or loyalty programme.
g. When you purchase something from us via the website or at one of our hotels.
1.3 We may also collect Personal Data from third parties such as business partners under joint promotions and brand collaborations, affiliates, public database and other sources.
1.4 We collect, manage and use your Personal Data, both for business and commercial purposes as set forth below:
a. To provide goods and services to you including but not limited to processing and facilitation of bookings, fulfilling an order of our products, processing of residential sales, and to operate loyalty or membership programmes.
b. To manage customer service relations such as responding to requests, conducting surveys to improve our products and services, provide personalised recommendations or share hotel information.
c. For marketing purposes where you have provided consent or do not object in writing (as required by the law), including to communicate (including by email, SMS or WeChat) with you during your stay, and to provide you with news, latest offers, promotions, newsletters and other marketing communications in accordance with your preferences.
d. Where it is necessary to conclude or perform a contract or carry out human resources management.
e. To respond to a public health emergency or protecting individual's interest or safety in an emergency or where it is necessary to carry out activities in the public’s interest.
f. To conduct internal audits, data analysis and research to improve our products and services.
g. To meet legal and regulatory requirements.
h. Provide for the safety and security of our guests, employees and other hotel users.
i. To reorganise or make changes to our business.
1.5 Sensitive Personal Information refers to personal information which if leaked or used illegally, may cause harm to personal or property safety, as well as the personal dignity of a natural person. In the course of providing our Services to you, you may provide or we may collect Sensitive Personal Information under applicable privacy laws. We only process Sensitive Personal Information with your express consent and unless otherwise required by applicable law, you are not required to provide us with any of your Sensitive Personal Data.
We will seek your consent in advance, should we use your personal information for purposes not covered in this privacy policy.
A cookie is a text file containing small amounts of information amount that is stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer or portable device. Each time you request a page from the website, your web browser sends this cookie back to the website server. We use cookies in our website to distinguish you from other users of the site and to provide you with a good browsing experience. The information collected by these cookies are used exclusively to improve the user experience and performance of the website, and is not associated with the user identity.
c. Website functionality cookies are used to save user information which has already been entered (such as user names, language or location), to provide enhanced and personalised features. These cookies collect anonymous information and are not used to track your movements on other websites.
d. Cookies for advertising purposes are used to collect information about browsing habits associated with the device and subsequently display advertisements that are more targeted and relevant to your interests. They register if a browser has visited a website. These information may be shared by third parties who provide these services.
e. We use web beacons (also called pixel tags) to allow us to measure the success of our marketing campaigns (such as email open rate and verify any click throughs to links within the email). We may use this information to tailor our marketing content to you. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email.
f. By using this website, you will have seen a pop-up on your first visit to the website confirming your preference and acceptance of the use of cookies in accordance with our Cookies Policy. If you do not agree to the use of these cookies, you can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. We may disclose your personal information to third parties for the following purposes:
a. We will disclose your personal information to third parties after receiving your consent.

d. We outsource certain functions to third parties and may share data to provide enhanced user experience and services that include but are not limited to booking and reservation management, payment and credit card processing, order fulfillment, customer service, marketing and advertising, email delivery, advertising networks, data management and information technology services.
4.1 We have implemented and maintain a variety of safety measures including various security technologies and procedures to protect the Personal Data we collect against authorised use, disclosure, access, modification, damage or loss. In addition, we have implemented additional control mechanisms to ensure that only authorised personnel have access to personal information. Measures include:
a. Implementing classified management of personal information and providing security education and training for operational staff.
b. Adopting corresponding technical security measures such as encryption and de-identification.
c. Maintaining response plans for security incidents relating to personal information to mitigate any potential risks.
d. Conducting regular compliance audits
e. Encryption and/or de-identification of Personal Data where required under applicable Chinese Mainland data protection laws.
4.2 The personal information you provide to us will be stored in our database and/or our service providers’ databases, protected by physical and electronic measures, firewalls and other necessary security measures. In principle, the personal information we obtain in the People’s Republic of China will remain within the territory of the People’s Republic of China.
However, such security measures do not completely prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information, and even with the best efforts made to safeguard your Personal Data, no method of transmission is 100% secure and we do not guarantee or warrant that your Personal Data is under absolute security with the existing security technology. Additionally, systems and communication networks used to access our services may be subject to problems beyond our control, therefore you are advised to exercise due protection and guard against unauthorised access to your password and credit card details.
5.1 In accordance with China’s relevant laws, regulations, standards as well as that of other countries and regions, we guarantee your rights to:
a. Access your Personal Data.
b. Correct data we hold about you.
c. Request deletion of the Personal Data we hold about you.
d. Ask us to restrict our handling of your Personal Data.
e. Request for transfer of your Personal Data to a third party.
f. Object to how we are using your Personal Data.
g. Withdraw your consent to us handling your Personal Data.
5.2 If you would like to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us at enquiries@anthologyhotels.com for assistance. For safety purposes, you may need to provide a written request or provide proof of identity. We may ask you to verify your identity prior to processing your request.
5.3 We will endeavour to fulfill your requests to the extent permitted by relevant laws and regulations. However, we reserve the right to refuse unreasonable requests which would infringe the rights of third parties, and to charge a fee for multiple requests exceeding reasonable limits.
5.4 In the cases stated below, we will not be able to respond to your requests as required by laws and regulations:
a. Cases relating to the country’s security and national defense security.
b. Cases relating to public safety, public health and public interest.
c. Cases relating to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and enforcement of judgments.
d. Cases where there is sufficient evidence that you have malicious intents or are abusing rights.
e. Cases where responding to your requests will result in serious damage to you, others or the organisation.
f. Cases involving trade secrets and statutory confidentiality agreements.
g. Cases where it is proven that it is impossible to provide such information or will incur a significant cost.
h. Information you already possess.
Our products, services and website are intended for adults and should not be used by children without parental or adult supervision.
Although there are different classifications of children according to local laws and customs, we classify any person under 16 years of age (or the minimum age as required by local law, whichever age is higher) as a child.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice. We will indicate the date this Privacy Policy was last revised at the top of the page.
Should there be any discrepancies with the privacy disclosure policy, the Chinese version prevails.
